Psoriasis, Eczema, Acne
By Dionne Hemsley
Generally speaking, psoriasis, eczema and acne are the result of Heat and/or Dampness in the body. If the skin is red, there is Heat and if the skin oozes or contains pus or discharge, there is Dampness. Check your tongue. If the body of the tongue is very red or the coating on your tongue is yellow, then you have internal Heat. If your tongue is puffy and has teeth marks along the sides, then you have Dampness. Eating a Stomach and Spleen friendly Diet (see article Foods That Fortify the Spleen) will help alleviate both Heat and Dampness but there are also specific foods, if incorporated in one’s diet, that can assist in cooling and drying the body.
